The Community Giving Council at Nicklaus Children's is an interactive philanthropic experience that gives hospital supporters who qualify a seat at the table as we align our fundraising dollars to the priorities and vision of Nicklaus Children's Hospital, with the goal of creating a healthy future for every child.
The giving council is open to supporters who pledge or give at the $10,000 level or higher. Members will directly participate in fund allocation to hospital programs. (The donation must be a new gift and cannot be reallocated from a previous pledge or payment.
Co-Chairs
The giving council is co-chaired by Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation board member Michelle McKenna and Nicklaus Children's Health System board member and daughter of Jack and Barbara Nicklaus, Nan O'Leary.

Michelle McKenna
Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation Board Member; Former Chief Information Officer of National Football League
Michelle McKenna joined the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation Board of Directors in 2021. Michelle most recently served as Chief Information Officer of the National Football League with responsibility for the NFL's technology strategy, shared service delivery and management of the league's technology activities including game day. She served at the league since 2012, was the executive sponsor of the league's WIN – Women's Interactive Network, and was awarded a Game Changer Award by Sports Business Journal. In 2013 Forty Over Forty – Women to Watch named her as one of the top 40 women in business.
Nan O’Leary
Nicklaus Children's Health System Board Member; Vice Chair, Grants Committee Chair and Board Member of the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, founded by her parents, Jack and Barbara Nicklaus
Nan O’Leary joined the Nicklaus Children’s Health System Board of Directors in 2021. Daughter of Nicklaus Children’s namesakes golf icon Jack Nicklaus and his wife Barbara, Nan has long dedicated herself to community service through leadership roles in entities that benefit the region’s children and families. She has served on the board of The Benjamin School, the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies, Stop! Children’s Cancer of Palm Beach County, the Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County, and the Pediatric Oncology Support Team (POST). In addition, Nan has served since 2004 on the board of the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, founded by her parents, and currently serves as vice chair and grants committee chair.
