Children's Champion TestimonialGabriela Benitez

Meet Gabriela Benitez

I became a Children’s Champion and a member of Nicklaus Children's Young Ambassadors in 2015 after attending my first Fashion Gives Back event which combined my two favorite passions- fashion and philanthropy. My first encounter with Nicklaus Children’s was when I was in high school; I did an internship at the Nicklaus Children's Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) where I was able to see first-hand the amazing impact the hospital has on its patients.

Now, sitting on the leadership board as a young ambassador, I’m able to help the hospital continue its vision to create a healthy future for every child. There is no greater feeling than to see your donation and support at work right in front of your very eyes!

Why Your Support Matters

Meet Emily and Sebastian, siblings who as adolescents, both underwent surgery to correct the abnormal curvature of their spine. Follow-up care is important for scoliosis patients like them to ensure a full recovery.

To help patients like Emily and Sebastian receive the ongoing care they need, Nicklaus Children's needs ongoing support.  With you as our Children's Champion, we are ensuring more children and adolescents have the chance at a happy, healthy future.

Benefits

When you become a Children's Champion, you will receive a welcome letter from us, plus a special gift from us (new this year!) to share our gratitude for your support. Check back soon for details on this exciting new gift we are about to offer for all current and new Champions!
