Born with a rare congenital heart defect, Madison’s fight for life began just days after birth, when she underwent open-heart surgery at Nicklaus Children’s Heart Institute. Throughout her childhood, she persevered through multiple procedures and triumphed over medical challenges, with a spirit of hope and joy.
Madison’s journey has shaped who she is and the path she dreams of following as a young adult. Inspired by the care she received at Nicklaus Children’s and the team that stood by her side, Madison is now pursuing a career as a pediatric cardiac ICU nurse, determined to one day care for children who are walking the same journey she once did.
