Beginning and ending at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, the inaugural Coach Spo’s 5K on Sunday, December 22 was attended by nearly 850 walkers/runners along with Miami HEAT coach Erik Spoelstra, Udonis Haslem and Alonzo Mourning. Participants received a pre-race stretch from Alex Toussaint of Peloton and motivation from HEAT Radio play-by-play and TV Host Jason Jackson before embarking on the route through the Coral Gables and Schenley Park neighborhoods, passing landmarks like the iconic Biltmore Hotel. The finish line at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital featured carnival-style activities, including games, rides, and live entertainment.
