Francis was diagnosed with a malignancy of the kidneys and began her journey with dialysis at the age of 8. During her childhood, her body rejected two kidney transplants, but Francis is resilient.
For years, Francis has spent three days of the week at Nicklaus Children's Hospital for treatment. She's grateful for the dedicated team of healthcare providers who became a second family, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.
