Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation is delighted to honor Alex Soto, a longtime supporter of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and a strong champion for kids. Mr. Soto is committed to the principle that no child from South Florida should have to leave our area in order to receive world-class care. He has been a volunteer at the hospital for more than 12 years, holding key positions that have contributed greatly to the vision and growth of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the hospital and currently is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the hospital’s 250-member medical group practice. He also continues to be a member of all four major hospital boards as well as 13 of their committees, including chairing Quality and Governance committees.
“Serving as a volunteer at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has been a labor of love and is extremely rewarding,” said Mr. Soto. “After all, the mission of the hospital can be encapsulated in one sentence: We heal children. Nothing is more noble than that!”
Mr. Soto’s commitment to philanthropic support as a member of the Diamond Society at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation has also significantly impacted many lives here in South Florida. For more than a decade, he has supported the hospital’s greatest needs, most recently including the Nicklaus Children’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, ensuring our patients are safe and have the best care available.
In the community, Mr. Soto leads with a heart for helping people. He has a long history of community involvement with various education, public service and faith-based nonprofit organizations. Most recently, he has served as CEO of the insurance and financial services firm, Insource, Inc.
On behalf of the entire Nicklaus Children’s family, we thank Mr. Soto for being a passionate and dedicated visionary who puts children and families first. We could not do our work without his transformational leadership and support.
