MCH Foundation considers itself lucky to be able to count on the support on countless community leaders who every day strive to make a difference in the lives of those around them. At the recent Donor Next Door Luncheon, held by
Philanthropy Miami, MCH Foundation recognized Ricky and Arti Patel for their unwavering dedication to the patients and families of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Being parents of two young daughters, the Patels consider Nicklaus Children’s a vital resource for our community and for children and families from around the world. Ricky helped start the Miami Children’s Young Ambassadors program and its signature event, Fashion Gives Back. Because of his exceptional leadership and philanthropic support, Ricky was invited to join the Miami Children’s Health Foundation Board of Directors in 2016, and has since also taken on the role of its vice chairman. Ricky and Arti believe it’s their duty to help people in need, especially the children who represent our future. In addition to Nicklaus Children’s, they support Gracious Hands Orphanage in Haiti, helping give 45 parentless children a better life. Children could not have better advocates than Ricky and Arti, and MCH Foundation is honored to have recognized them as our “Donors Next Door.” The Donor Next Door Luncheon, held each May, presents an opportunity for local nonprofits to celebrate an individual or organization that inspires philanthropy in Miami.
