Tournament officials announced today that Nicklaus Children’s Health System has expanded their collaboration with the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches and will now serve as the Official Health System Partner of the event when it returns to PGA National Resort & Spa Feb. 26 – Mar. 2, 2025.
“As we continue to build off a legacy of giving back, expanding our collaboration with Nicklaus Children’s Health System was a win-win for all parties,” said Cognizant Classic Executive Director Todd Fleming. “We’re excited to continue to grow our relationship with Nicklaus Children’s to create an inclusive onsite experience and further promote their mission of inspiring hope and providing lifelong health for children within our community for years to come.”
As the Official Health System of the Cognizant Classic, Nicklaus Children’s will have several onsite activations during tournament week, highlighted below:
-
Nicklaus Neighborhood: Located adjacent to the 18th tee, the Nicklaus Neighborhood returns in 2025 and will feature incredible murals and patient stories on signage, along with interactive games such as mini-golf and swing simulators. The open-air structure will also offer upgraded concessions available for purchase by patrons.
-
Nicklaus Children’s Kids Autograph Zone: Kids looking to get autographs from the TOUR Pros are permitted to do so only in the Nicklaus Children’s Kids Autograph Zone near No. 1 tee.
-
Honorary Pin Flag Caddies: New this year, six patients selected from Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, a member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, will serve as honorary pin flag caddies on No. 18 during the final round of competition on Sunday.
-
Operation Shower: On Saturday, February 22, twenty-five military moms and moms-to-be have been selected and will be honored with a special baby shower. These families were/are not able to have a baby shower of their own for various reasons and will be showered with very special gifts. Presented by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital with support from Pratt & Whitney, the “Special Delivery”-themed event will include a catered lunch, raffles and contests with prizes.
Most importantly, charitable impact remains the north star of the Cognizant Classic. In 2024, the tournament distributed over $6.5 million to more than 50 philanthropic organizations, including $2 million to Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, the event’s main beneficiary.
“The Cognizant Classic has been a staple event for our patients, staff, and most importantly, the community we serve in Palm Beach County,” said Matthew A. Love, president and CEO of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. “Years ago, Jack and Barbara Nicklaus had a vision to expand expert pediatric healthcare in the region. This world-class tournament brings awareness and support to this need, and we are thrilled to be part of a tournament that benefits children’s healthcare right here in South Florida. Ongoing collaborations like these allow us to further expand access to amazing patient care for generations to come, right here where our families call home.”
