Internationally renowned actor Antonio Banderas visited Nicklaus Children’s Hospital where he received a tour of its facilities followed by a special visit with two patient families in the hospital’s cardiac unit. Dr. Narendra Kini, CEO of Miami Children’s Health System, led the tour and showed the guests some of the hospital’s most technologically advanced areas, including Telehealth and the recently acquired intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) system.
This was the actor’s first visit to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and what looks like a start to a developing relationship between the hospital and Banderas’ own foundation, Lágrimas y Favores. In addition to visiting the hospital, Banderas was in the city to host the Miami Fashion Week Benefit Gala, with proceeds from the event going to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and Lágrimas y Favores.
