Walters Legacy Society Members Thanked at Inaugural Luncheon

Published on: 05/31/2017
The first ever Walters Legacy Society Appreciation Event was held to thank those donors who have supported Nicklaus Children’s Hospital through their estate plans. The event included a private tour of the Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion followed by a luncheon in the Majorca Room of The Biltmore Hotel. The Walter’s Legacy Society was established by the late Ambassador David M. Walters and is currently represented by 30 living members who have included Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in their estate plans, many of whom have not visited the hospital in years. During the event, guests heard from Michael Harrington, the president and COO of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, who updated donors on exciting future advancements they can expect from the hospital. This event aims to bring this unique group of donors together as a way to thank them for their loyalty, and to also honor the invaluable legacy Planned Giving provides.
