Nicklaus Children’s Hospital patients and their families were treated to a delicious Thanksgiving lunch and celebration on November 21, 2018 in the Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion amphitheater, thanks to the generosity of the Live Like Bella Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and friends joined patients for all the fixings of a traditional Thanksgiving, along with festive arts and crafts projects and a special social media selfie station.
Live Like Bella was founded in 2013 in honor of 10-year-old Bella Rodriguez-Torres, who unfortunately passed away after a difficult battle with cancer. Live Like Bella’s mission is to help children with cancer maintain the same love for life that Bella had. Bella’s family and friends continue to honor her legacy by serving and helping children with cancer, including supporting patients and programs at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
