One Park Financial Contributes to the Spread Joy Toy Drive Hoping to Bring Smiles at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital

In an effort to bring a little extra joy to the patients and families spending the holidays in the hospital, One Park Financial collected and delivered toys for Nicklaus Children's Hospital's Spread Joy Toy Drive.

When it comes to providing a gesture of warmth and joy during the holidays, hospitals nationwide often depend on their community’s contributions, and this holiday season was no exception. One Park Financial, a Miami-based financial technology firm, and small business funding facilitator joined forces with other local businesses including MCA Academy and Virgin Hotels to collect toys for kids ranging in age from infants to teenagers. Collectively, they were able to gather over 100 toys.

“This year has hit each and every one of us nationwide. The families and patients at Nicklaus's need all the support and strength they can get.” says One Park Financials' CEO and Nicklaus Children's Hospital board member John Lie-Nielsen. “A gift is a warm gesture that reminds them that they are not alone. We are proud to be part of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital's Spread Joy Toy Drive.”

This holiday season marks the fourth time that One Park Financial participates in the Spread Joy Toy Drive, along with other events to benefit Nicklaus Children's Hospital, South Florida's only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children. Lie-Nielsen also sits on the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Board of Directors, chairs its marketing committee, and sits on the finance subcommittee.

“Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is grateful for One Park Financial’s toy donation during this year’s Spread Joy Toy Drive,” said Matthew Love, President, and CEO of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. “While this year has been quite different for all, our staff remained committed to keeping our favorite holiday tradition for the kids – so we thank our system board member John Lie-Nielsen, and his entire team, for standing behind us and helping ensure patients at Nicklaus Children’s wake up cheerful this Christmas morning!”

One Park Financial encourages employees to work with the local community in whatever ways they choose to contribute. As a company, they host community events and collect donations year-round for both the United Way and Nicklaus Children's Hospital.
