Published on: 07/01/2020
Nicklaus Children’s has been awarded a $25,000 grant from NBC and Telemundo to expand telemental health services for our patients. This builds upon Nicklaus Children's existing telehealth program NCHS Anywhere® which has been operational since 2015.

With a limited number of mental health providers available,  the grant allows Nicklaus Children's to maximize mental health services and increase productivity for patients through telehealth. Nicklaus Children's Child psychologist Dr. Sara Romero-Conil was interviewed by the news channel about the benefits of telemental health and the importance of managing anxiety in the household, especially now with COVID-19.

Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation partnered with the NBC and Telemundo-owned stations to offer Project Innovation, a grant program recognizing local non-profit organizations that are tackling everyday problems through innovative solutions.
