Jose Feliciano to Perform Live and be Inducted Into Pediatric Hall of Fame at Diamond Ball

Published on: 09/26/2016

Every year, during our signature Diamond Ball—ranked among the top fundraisers in Florida and one of the most anticipated charity events of the season—we introduce a new inductee into our Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame. Named for our founder who vowed no child would ever have to leave our region to receive world-class care, the Hall of Fame pays homage to individuals from all walks of life who are strong advocates for children’s causes.

This year’s 10th Anniversary Diamond Ball is extra special; not only are we celebrating the 10th anniversary of this glamorous philanthropic affair but we will also be honoring the world-renowned virtuoso guitarist, singer, and composer Jose Feliciano by inducting him into our International Pediatric Hall of Fame.

Induction into the Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by Miami Children's Health Foundation and each inductee has demonstrated a passionate commitment to ensure the health and happiness of children everywhere.

Mr. Feliciano’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children is evident through his work for the Jose M. and Susan L. Feliciano Charitable Foundation for Children and the Arts. He is also recognized as the first Latin artist to cross over into the English music market, opening the doors for other entertainers who now play an important role in the American music industry.

The gala will also feature Miami native and co-host of “The Insider” on CBS, Louis Aguirre as Master of Ceremonies, and will include a live performance by Jose Feliciano, the evening’s honoree.

The spectacular black-tie costume affair includes a stylish cocktail soiree, live entertainment, a silent auction and much more. The 10th Anniversary Diamond Ball Committee is led by co-chairs Eilah & Ben Beavers, Ravneet & Anand Chowdhury, Ana & Tony Figueroa Cisneros, Heide & Jose Dans, Marile & Jorge Luis Lopez, Vivian & Juan Carlos Mas, and Andria & Andres Miyares.
