Grand Prize Winner of Nicklaus4Kids 50/50 Raffle Announced

Published on: 04/08/2021

Florida resident Dixie Sansom is the grand prize winner of the monthlong Nicklaus4Kids 50/50 Raffle supporting Nicklaus Children's Hospital. Dixie will receive a check for $25,000, and the other half of the jackpot will benefit the Nicklaus Children's Patient Assistance Fund, for patients whose care may not be fully covered by insurance.

Dixie is a past supporter of Nicklaus Children's Hospital and a current resident of Cocoa, Florida. She was shocked and excited to receive the news of her winnings. She couldn't wait to tell her husband the news and says she plans to use the funds to support more children's causes in her community.

"I still can't believe it! Thank you to Nicklaus Children's Hospital! I'm so grateful for this wonderful surprise," said Sansom. "Nicklaus Children's Hospital does such a great job of providing quality care for kids across South Florida, and even throughout the state. There's no cause more worthy to support than our children."

Sansom joins three other Early Bird winners of the raffle, Elisa D., Michelle H. and Ali M., who won a cash prize of $500 each.

The #Nicklaus4Kids 50/50 raffle last month offered one Florida resident the chance to win a life-changing cash prize, all in support of a great cause. Hundreds of Florida residents entered the 50/50 raffle, which was featured in many regional and national media outlets including Dish Nation, EXTRA, People, E! News, The Miami Herald, and the Sun-Sentinel.

Bachelor Nation couple Rachel Lindsay Abasolo and Bryan Abasolo teamed up with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital for the #Nicklaus4Kids campaign.

Special thanks to Nicklaus4Kids 50/50 Raffle partners for their support, including Ascend, True Heart, The Beach Channel, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Ocean Drive and Jungle Island.
