The multi-year Bailey Genomics Project in part supports the Drug Sensitivity Testing and Mutation Profiling in Childhood Sarcomas Study.
The study will determine whether children with cancer can have better treatment options in the future. Researchers are testing the tumor for any genetic changes from different medicines. These tests could help researchers understand if such tumor tests can improve treatment for similar cancers. It also will help understand how mutations in the cancer can make it more sensitive to particular medications.
